This was an amazing experience! I helped my mom write her story with the help of A Life Untold. The interview process was extremely helpful, and I loved that I was able to create my own questions. It was so much easier than starting with just a blank page. The people at A Life Untold were very helpful and accommodating. The end result, the book itself, exceeded all my expectations. The quality is incredible. I purchased copies for my siblings, children, niece and nephews. They received these as gifts on Christmas and were overwhelmingly pleased. It took close to two years to write my life story. Through it all, A Life Untold provided me with all the support I needed. I’m very happy with the finished product. I have a copy for each of my children for them to read after I pass. It was a very fulfilling project I hope they appreciate.
Her grandchildren gave her the gift of A Life Untold. I recorded her responses to all the questions and helped her navigate to the finished product, and an amazing product it is! The folks at A Life Untold were incredible, helpful, and quickly responsive. I never thought that doing a project such as this would be so easy through email. Surprisingly personal attention was given to me as I edited and posted and corrected and changed things that culminated in this beautiful book. My Mom is so proud and excited to share her story. I recommend A Life Untold with the highest regards. In May 2020, I was searching for the perfect Mothers Day gift for my mother-in-law who had recently been diagnosed with cancer during COVID lockdown. She had the best stories from teaching career and time living abroad and I thought it would be wonderful for her to document her stories for her five children and many grandchildren. A Life Untold provided a great framework for her to be able to document her stories in between chemo treatments. Although it took a bit longer than expected, she was able to wrap up her story in early Oct 2021. All she needed was some help from my husband to scan and upload some photos before publishing. She unexpectedly passed away just a few days later due to sepsis although her cancer had been under control. We are so thankful to be able to share her story with her family, especially her young grandchildren. A Life Untold worked with our family in the event of her untimely passing, including changing the shipping address and other logistical issues so we could have her book published by Christmas and it is a treasured keepsake by our family.
Bought these for our parents to give them a project to focus on during the Covid shutdown. excellent quality, excellent service! so glad we did this.

I was reluctant at first but I had promised my daughter-in-law that I would do this for my grandchildren. I am thrilled I took the time and trouble and went through with it, and my children and grandchildren are enchanted. This is more than a memoir, it’s an inheritance.
I have had the best time remembering and writing down all my stories for my son. The staff were so helpful and supportive and the process was wonderfully easy. I am not the best on the computer but it was so easy and if I had a query the staff got back to me really quickly. I am recommending a life untold to all my friends. Wonderful experience.
I received the Life Untold service from my children as a gift for Mother’s Day last year and I highly recommend this product. What a beautiful way to pass on family history. The questions are thought provoking and there is plenty of room for photos. The book arrived, and is of very high quality from the cover, to the quality of the pages, to the quality of the print and photos. And, during the process, all my questions were answered in a timely fashion. We all have a story to tell–tell yours!

Making my story in A Life Untold was a great way to record my story for my family. It was so easy, just by answering the questions in each chapter triggered more memories and I was able to expand on the basic answers. I was able to upload photos for each chapter to go with the answers I had completed.
The staff there were very helpful and patient with my taking a long time to complete the book and make all the corrections.
My Dad texted as soon at it arrived and he LOVES it!
I gave this as a birthday gift for him when he turned 85.
It forced us to speak several times a month while I asked and then typed in the answers to the questions.
So not only did it result in a great coffee table book, but it also taught me a lot more about my Dad’s life, brought us closer together as we spoke often to answer the questions, and created a nice legacy for our kids.

A year ago, my husband gave me A Life Untold for my birthday. It was my first full year of retirement, and this gift gave me just the focus I needed for this first year not working. Now, my life is untold no longer! The book has arrived and it is absolutely beautiful. The photos look almost better than the originals. The production values are very high… thick, glossy pages. I am getting a copy for each of my children. Someday, when I am gone, and they can’t remember something about their family heritage, it will all be right here. It was the best birthday present I ever received!

I just received my life story and am so pleased with my book! It would probably seem a little intimidating to write a book about yourself and if you have limited typing skills, but it could not have been easier! The questions help give some thought to what you want to share, and if you think you won’t be able to remember back through the years, it does come back to you (coming from a ~60 year old)! Highly recommend so your family can truly learn about you now and when you are no longer around to share your story.
As my uncle was getting older, I decided to try a service to record details about his life. After researching it, I settled on A Life Untold and could not be happier with how it turned out. I asked him the questions and recorded his answers since he was not able to do it himself. I learned so much about a person I have known my whole life. It was a wonderful experience for me and I could tell how much he enjoyed telling stories about his life. We finished it just before he passed.
I wish I had something like this from my parents and grandparents.
This was a very enjoyable experience and their support is exceptional. I loved the ready-made questions that helped me go way back in time. And I also appreciated the fact that I could add my own questions in each section. When I received my book, I had tears, it’s beautiful. I hope my book will be passed on to many generations. We purchased this book as a birthday gift for my 80 year old dad. Absolutely so easy to do! You can add your own questions and skip any you don’t want included. We were so pleased with the finished book! Can’t wait to do this for my mom next!
I loved the creative flexibility they offered and was impressed with the quality of the printed hardcover book. They provide prompts which you can answer. Ignore any questions you like, and you can add your own questions. You can include up to 10 color and/or bw photos per section. They also didn’t seem to have a word min/max per question which made it so much easier to complete.
We highly recommend A Life Untold. My 91 year old Mother received her book and she is absolutely wrapped with it. The book is very professional. Thank you
I received A Life Untold as a gift from my son. The process was so easy. There were an excellent mixture of questions and were very thought provoking. It’s amazing how memories flood back, filling the pages with ease. I received my book the other day and was thrilled with the quality of the hardcover book. I liked how the pictures were interspersed throughout. Even though many of my pictures were hard copy photos taken with my phone, the quality on the printed page were excellent. They allowed me all the time I needed to compose my story and prepare it for publication. I had a lot to write and needed the time. It was moving and great.
Received my books today – what a beautiful tribute to my dads life. I commenced recording my elderly dads story whilst he was hospitalised for a lengthy period. It was a lovely way to spend my visiting hours with my dad and a wonderful distraction to all his treatment. Sadly, we didn’t get to complete the book as my dad passed away, but I chose to have it published anyway. I look forward to gifting copies to my sisters this coming week. A Life Untold books are AMAZING!!! I recently completed one for my mother who was a child in the Philippines during WWII – I had never heard many of the stories but now they are memorialized for generations to come! I promise that you and your family and friends will greatly enjoy the experience!!!

Very rewarding and fulfilling, especially after a failed attempt writing my own two years ago when I got lost in my own plot. The format was easy to follow, allowing me to write over 25,000 words, all from my phone. Josh was very helpful every step of the way, as I had a number of requests. I gave my father the gift of A Life Untold for his 80th birthday. It was such a gift to the whole family. Josh was amazingly patient with father. And the whole family loved hearing all his stories and searching for all the pictures in the book. My dad is 80 years old. My children grew up listening to my dad tell stories of his childhood, as my siblings and I did. It is such a treasure to know we will each have a copy of his life story, filled with his tales of childhood to continue to enjoy, when we no longer have him with us.
I plan to do another book for my mom’s story. I’m so excited to be able to give these as gifts to my children.
